Director's Message
Welcome to LHS as we proudly present JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT! Come alongside us as we venture into the Old Testament story about Joseph, his father, Jacob, and his 11 brothers. This story of betrayal and forgiveness is sure to pull at your heartstrings as well as entertain you. The directing team has had an extremely rewarding experience working with this fun, caring, talented, committed, and thoughtful group of students. I am so proud of the fact that we have 78 students participating in the musical this year between cast, crew, pit band, and elementary chorus. They have worked hard and put in numerous hours on and off the stage to make this show a success. It’s fun to be part of the process and watch the development of the show take place. I would like to thank ALL of the many people that have helped make this production successful. A very special thank you to my amazing co-directors, Rachel Becker and Emily Wolfgang, who truly bring such an expertise to our process, to Michelle McKaig, our amazing costumer (and designer of Joseph’s coat), to Wade Thatcher and his team for all of the tech design, to Candace Boone and the pit band for their musicianship, to Katie Walters for directing our elementary chorus, to Brice Skiles for designing the camel, and to Geoff Hammons, Adam Hart, Parker Huntsman, and Mike and Ramona Smith for set and prop support. Thank you to the many parent helpers backstage. Thank you also to my family for encouraging me in my passion of the performing arts. Most importantly to God…may He receive the glory for all of this talent. And now, enjoy what promises to be an AMAZING show!
