Ryan McGrotty is thrilled to be playing in Shrek. He is a senior at LHS who has been involved with theatre for two years. Since this show was cancelled nearly two years ago due to COVID-19, he has been in many productions at the Black Box Theatre Company. Roles he has played in that time include Juror 4 (12 Angry Men), Gerald Croft (An Inspector Calls), George Wilson (The Great Gatsby), and Liam Wilson (Even When We're Gone). In the original cast, Ryan played the role of a monkey, but now that there is a different cast, he was able to land the role of Edmund. Ryan is grateful to have played both roles, and he would like to thank the director of this show, Mrs. Schoeff, for the opportunity as well as Mrs. Wolfgang of the Black Box for improving him as an actor.
